NEW YORK (AP) - Brazilian artist Michel Melamed’s play “SEEWATCHLOOK” _ a series of 28 scenes performed free at a New York City intersection _ has been extended.
Originally intended to run from Oct. 6-16 for eight performances, the work has now added four extra performances through Oct. 30. Each 65-minute show featuring a cast of 12 is performed at the intersection of Tenth Avenue and 17th Street.
The new work takes advantage of being directly in line with a seating area and windows of an elevated stand on the High Line, the long abandoned, 1.45-mile-long elevated railroad that once carried freight. It’s now a lush, green pedestrian artery.
