COLUMBUS, OHIO (AP) - The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed RPI junior goaltender Allen York to a standard two-year, entry-level contract.

General manager Scott Howson announced the move on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old York just completed his junior season at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he went 18-11-4 with a 2.17 goals-against average, .924 save percentage and two shutouts in 34 games.

He is a native of Wetaskiwin, Alberta. RPI qualified for the 16-team NCAA tournament, but lost 6-0 to North Dakota.
