The D.C. Republican Committee said the office windows of its downtown headquarters were damaged by what appears to be BB pellets.

Paul Craney, executive director of the committee, said that damage occurred Tuesday evening but was not discovered until Wednesday, according to The Washington Post and several other news agencies. The office is at 13th and K streets NW.

Mr. Craney thinks the headquarters was targeted because a nearby hair salon was not damaged. Police were notified.
