Metropolitan police said Tuesday they were investigating the fatal shooting of as 71-year-old man in Southeast.

Officers responded at about 9:31 p.m. Monday to the 2300 block of Good Hope Road in Southeast for reports of trouble.

They found 71-year-old Solomon Reese of Southeast suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
