Former D.C. Mayor Adrian M. Fenty has joined the law firm of Klores Perry Mitchell P.C., the company announced Thursday.

Mr. Fenty, a Democrat who last year lost his bid for a second term, will serve as special council. The firm, formerly known as Bruce J. Klores & Associates, specializes in plaintiff trials and litigations.

“We are honored to have Mayor Fenty join us,” said founding partner Bruce J. Klores “His successful mayoral ’reformer approach’ used to streamline the D.C. government and make it more responsive to residents will be a great asset to the firm.”

Mr. Fenty, 40, has a law degree from Howard University.
