NEW YORK (AP) - Cartoon Network says first lady Michelle Obama will appear on its upcoming Hall of Game Awards special.
As national spokesperson and co-founder of the Let’s Move! initiative, Mrs. Obama will make her taped appearance to recognize the nation’s schools that have most successfully created healthier environments through nutrition and physical activity.
The goal of the initiative is to reduce childhood obesity.
Cartoon Network’s Hall of Game Awards is a new sports and entertainment awards show for kids that honors favorite sports stars and their achievements.
The network announced Monday the show will air Feb. 25 and be hosted by skateboarding legend Tony Hawk.
