ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA. (AP) - Two Florida basketball players have been arrested on felony burglary charges for allegedly breaking into a car.

St. Augustine police say sophomore Erik Murphy and freshman Cody Larson are free on bond after being arrested early Sunday.

A third man, team manager Joshua Adel, was charged with principal to burglary. Police say he acted as a lookout.

Officers believe Murphy and Larson, reserves expected to play significant roles next season, went into a bar around 2 a.m., claimed to have lost a wallet and apparently tried to get close to an employee counting money.

According to police, bouncers told the players to leave, then witnessed them breaking into a co-worker’s car across the street. Police say the victim didn’t notice any items missing from his car.
