OPINION:
While some may find the report of Jesse Jackson’s vehicle being stolen during his recent visit to Detroit amusing, what makes it ironically hilarious is the fact that the luxury Cadillac Escalade, a monstrous SUV, was stolen and stripped while he was busy promoting government-funded “green” jobs and policies.
The Toyota Prius and the Smart Car that the eco-preachers like Mr. Jackson and former Vice President Al Gore seek to force on us common folk seem always to be curiously absent from their own choices of personal transportation. “Don’t do as I do, do as I say” has been a hallmark of self-anointed hustlers like Mr. Jackson for as long as we have had the misfortune of being subjected to his kind of one-way moralizing.
