LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says Grammy-winning rapper T.I. and his wife have been released from jail after his arrest on suspicion of possessing drugs.
The 29-year-old rapper and his wife, Tameka Cottle, were taken into custody Wednesday night in West Hollywood after a sheriff’s deputy allegedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from their car during a traffic stop.
Deputy Luis Castro says the two were released at about 4 a.m. Thursday after posting $10,000 bail each.
The rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., is still on probation after spending time behind bars on gun charges.
