CLEVELAND (AP) - Cavaliers coach Byron Scott said he expects to be fined by the NBA after criticizing officials following a loss at Orlando.
After Cleveland’s 110-100 loss on Friday, Scott criticized officials Ed Malloy, Bennie Adams and Kevin Fehr. He bemoaned having to play a team where “there’s five white jerseys and three with stripes. … It’s hard when you’re playing against eight people.”
Scott also complained about the crew’s inconsistency.
Scott, who is in his first year with the Cavaliers, was contacted by a league official on Saturday. He said the league asked some questions and were “pretty satisfied” with his answers. Scott has never been fined as a coach in previous stops at New Jersey or New Orleans.
