CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago Blackhawks forward Jonathan Toews will be out two weeks with a shoulder injury.

Coach Joel Quenneville disclosed the severity of the injury after practice Wednesday.

Toews was injured Tuesday night in a loss at St. Louis. He was checked hard into the boards by Matt D’Agostini in the first period and got up holding his right shoulder.

Toews is Chicago’s second-leading scorer with 33 points, including 15 goals. Chicago has struggled with injuries this season and only recently welcomed back Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane.

The Blackhawks host San Jose on Thursday night.
