NEW YORK (AP) - The New York City medical examiner’s office says further tests are needed to determine what caused the death of a fashion designer who was found in an overflowing bathtub at an upscale hotel.

Thirty-three-year old Sylvie Cachay, dressed in a black top and underwear, was found Thursday in a tub at the Soho House.

The medical examiner’s office performed an initial autopsy. It said Friday it has not been able to conclusively pinpoint the cause of death.

Authorities were speaking to her boyfriend, 24-year-old Nicholas Brooks, the son of “You Light Up My Life” songwriter Joseph Brooks.

Nicholas Brooks was with Cachay earlier in the day and returned to hotel at around 3:30 a.m. to find her dead. He has not been charged with any crime.
