METAIRIE, LA. (AP) - The Saints have signed linebacker Ramon Humber and released third-string quarterback Sean Canfield.
Humber’s signing comes a week after reserve Saints linebacker Stanley Arnoux went on injured reserve with a ruptured right Achilles’ tendon.
Humber is a second year pro out of North Dakota State who last year was a special teams regular at Indianapolis. He also started the Colts’ final two regular season games while Indianapolis was resting a number of regulars for the playoffs.
Canfield, a seventh-round draft pick out of Oregon State, has been on and off the Saints’ active or practice squad rosters this season as space permitted.
