Just when people had started to forget about my mother and sister calling the cops after I pushed them around, new evidence of what some people think of as my anger issues has surfaced. A celebrity gossip Web site has published audio of me yelling at the cinematographer on the set of “Terminator Salvation.”

I don’t understand why people are trying to make me look bad. It’s completely out of context. This guy walked on the set during filming and completely ruined the scene I was doing a great job of performing. I’m an artist, and this guy messed with my art. I had every right tounprofessionally address his unprofessionalism. Aren’t there some things a person should get angry about?

-Christian Bale

Dear Christian,

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.

It looks like my gorgeous husband and I will be living apart again. He’s set to join the Milan soccer club permanently, while I plan to stay in Los Angeles so our children don’t have to switch schools. I’m a little nervous about this. When he played for Madrid and I stayed in London, I had to hear stories about flirtations at nightclubs through the tabloids. I’m trying to look on the bright side, though. Don’t you think being apart will bring an added spark to our relationship every time we finally do reunite?

Dear Victoria,

Farewells can be shattering, but returns are surely worse. Solid flesh can never live up to the bright shadow cast by its absence.

I’m not “Dancing With the Stars” right now - I’m dancing with the lawyers. I’ve filed a lawsuit against a restaurant in Texas because they’ve refused to pay what they promised me for an appearance. Lots of restaurants, bars and clubs pay celebrities to make an appearance, so they shouldn’t be surprised. Some might say I’m being a little crass in asking for money for this appearance - it was for a March of Dimes benefit. My being there did help the charity. My understanding, as an immigrant, is that an agreement is an agreement in this country. Am I right?

Dear Karina,

True charity is the desire to be useful to others without thought of recompense.
