While not specifically political, Tim Tebow's eyeblack in this November 2009 powerfully conveyed his Christian beliefs while he was a quarterback for the Florida Gators. The NCAA in 2010 would pass what became known as the "Tebow rule" prohibiting players from wearing messages on their eyeblack — although officials denied it was specifically aimed at the quarterback.
