In an April 17, 2020 photo, Ivana Vu, an airborne sensor operator, prepares newly sterilized N95 masks on Friday, April 17, 2020 in Waukegan. Masks are sealed inside retrofitted cargo containers where a a hydrogen peroxide mixture is used to sterilize masks over about an 8 hour time period. The mask sterilization site is operated by Battelle Corporation who received a FEMA contract. When the site is up and running it could sterilize as many as 80,000 masks a day.
