Brown University Provost Mark Schlissel addresses the media Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 after being named as the new president of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Board of Regents approved Schlissel as the 14th person to lead the Ann Arbor school at a special session. Schlissel, 56, is Brown's chief academic officer.
