London’s Barbican Centre announced on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, the “Sherlock” star will play the lead role, a melancholy Danish prince, in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” at the venue next year. The Lyndsey Turner-directed production will run from August to October 2015, and the 12-week run in the 1,160-seat venue is guaranteed to be a hot ticket.
