DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY The Falcon HTV-2, an experimental space plane, disintegrated and burned up nine minutes into what was supposed to be a 30-minute test flight in April. The plane is a key element of U.S. efforts to develop a conventional weapon that can strike quickly anywhere in the world.
