Inside Maryland’s abandoned Owings Mill Mall just before its demolition in 2017. The picture is courtesy of photojournalist Seph Lawless, who documents the phenomena of abandoned or “zombie” malls across America. Before its closing, Owings Mill Mall featured more than 150 stores and eateries. It has since been demolished and reopened as Mill Station, an outdoor style retail center with Lowes, Costco and Giant as major tenants.
