Today’s Water Cooler lineup of off the beaten path online stories are: President Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize for ‘what he might be able to do,’ Nancy Pelosi wants a “windfall profits tax” on insurance companies, and two New York GOP congressional candidates for a special election are compared.

What constitutes a “windfall” in an industry that averages a paltry 3.3% profit margin — free donuts on Fridays?  Whatever it is, or rather whatever it is after Congress pounds insurers and providers with previously-proposed excise fees and taxes, Nancy Pelosi and her colleagues want it. 

 Now, let’s examine the two candidates and their positions. It seems the NRCC would rather talk about how Hoffman is not as conservative as he says he is instead of trying to claim Dede Scozzafava is anything other than an ACORN endorsed leftist.
