Georgia, according to Power Line’s Paul Mirengoff, may be one of the most interesting states to watch tonight, especially the congressional races.
Although Mr. Mirengoff predicted seven Senate-seat pickups for the Democrats, he did not include Georgia in the count.
SEE RELATED:Incumbent Sen. Saxby Chambliss, Georgia Republican, has a clear advantage in his race. A runoff vote may be a possibility, considering that a strong third-party candidate is preventing Mr. Chambliss from polling at more than 50 percent.
Still, in the event of a run-off election, Democrats are unlikely to be able to focus on Georgians’ right-wing needs.
Mr. Chambliss may play the role of a barrier to a left-wing agenda in the eyes of voters, as Georgia is still mostly conservative, according to Mr. Mirengoff.
