Blogger SusanG, writing at the Daily Kos this morning, said campaigning for Obama is just … well … good for the community:

“Rarely do we reflect on how working for something larger than ourselves, working in community with other activists, makes us better people in the process.”

The blogger said one of the best stories she read came from The Christian Science Monitor. The story followed Jonathan Curley, a 55-year-old conservative who started campaigning for the Obama camp. Mr. Curley said his wife “guilt-tripped” him into canvassing for Obama.
