Maybe I was a bit bored waiting for the game to start or maybe I am just a big dork. Either way, I took the time to count and list the number of companies that have signage inside Verizon Center. To be listed, I need to have seen the sign from my seat here in the press box. So I’m sure I’m missing a few.
I came up with 45. That seems like a pretty solid number, given that we’re not talking about a particularly big place. The Caps have managed to maximize space along the boards at ice level and on their ribbon boards in between each deck. They could probably sell more advertising on the big hanging scoreboard, but that would start to make things looked cluttered.
SEE RELATED:Here’s the list, with the caveat that the ribbon boards keep changing and new ads keep popping up.
