Kevin Barnes is inactive even with fellow cornerback Fred Smoot unable to play because of injured ribs.

That’s a bad sign for Barnes, a rookie from Maryland, who has been passed on the depth chart by Byron Westbrook, a former practice squad member who played at Division III Salisbury State.
