Brian Orakpo is one of five Rookie of The Week nominees. The linebacker from Texas had six tackles and 1.5 sacks in Washington’s 27-17 victory over Denver.

Orakpo’s seven sacks are a Redskins rookie record surpassing the previous mark of six held by tackle Dean Hamel (1985) and linebacker Andre Collins (1990).
