The temperature is 97 degrees with a heat index of 102 degrees as the Redskins took the field for their second practice of the day.

Comrade Dave Elfin just did the roster rundown and — following the new guidelines of non Tweeting and blogging directly from the field — he walked back up here to provide a report.

And it appears the trio of Cornelius Griffin, Albert Haynesworth and Phillip Daniels will get a veteran’s day off.
