FOXSports.com is reporting that New Orleans’ top receiver, Marques Colston, won’t play Sunday against Washington because he has a torn ligament in his left thumb. Colston’s absence elevates David Patten, whom the Redskins cut in February 2007 after he caught just one pass in 2006, into the lineup against his old team. Colston had 98 catches for 1,202 yards last year.
