Breaking news: David Elfin just called this in from Redskins Park that the team has traded for Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor.

- Taylor, who has played right defensive end throughout his career, will line up at right defensive end for Washington
- Taylor has assured Vinny Cerrato, Washington’s executive vice president of football operations, that he will play out his contract with the Redskins; he has two years (this season and next) remaining.
- Quote from Cerrato: “We’re fortunate that a guy of that caliber was on the market.”
- The Redskins gave up a second round pick in 2009 and a sixth round pick in 2010 for Taylor.
