Burger King has apologized to Hindus for running an ad featuring the many-limbed goddess Lakshmi hawking a Whopper, the Daily Telegraph is reporting.
Burger King pulled the ad from franchises in Spain after Hindus complained that it belittled their religion. Nearly all the ingredients in the “Texican Whopper” — from beef to mayonnaise — are forbidden to Hindus.
