Some inaugural events cancelled amid economic hardship

Quite a few inaugural galas and events around Washington have been cancelled because of a lack of funds amid the economic downturn and security measures that have discouraged attendees, Karen Goldberg Goff and Kara Rowland are reporting.

But not to worry. All of those cancelled events and galas are eligible for bailout funds.
