Cheney to attend inauguration in wheelchair

Outgoing Vice President Dick Cheney will attend the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama in a wheelchair because he hurt his back moving boxes into his new home in McLean, Va., the AP is reporting.

I thought the vice president had “people” who moved boxes, but I guess I was wrong.

The incoming Obama administrtion must be really strict about saving money, you know, if they make an old guy like Cheney move his own boxes.

When I first heard that Cheney would be in a wheelchair for the inauguration, I was afraid it was a pacemaker thing. It isn’t, but Cheney will be able to control the chair with his pacemaker.
