US Airways this month will begin charging passengers an extra $7 for a blanket and pillow, the AP is reporting.
Jet Blue announced a similar plan last summer, when cash-strapped airlines began charging passengers for amenities that had been free.

Other in-flight amenities and charges:
Seat cushion: $10
Armrest: $10 (Must be purchased in conjunction with seat cushion.)
Tray table: $5.50
Bathroom: $3 entry fee; $2.50 per flush (After three flushes, we call your bank.)
Air: $15 per hour of flight
Seat belt: What’s it worth to you?
In the event of an emergency landing, will they charge you for your life vest before or after the crash? I’m thinking before.
