I watched the presidential debate Friday night and thought both candidates did pretty well.

But I couldn’t help thinking that the moderator — Jim Lehrer — wanted a little more them. The way he kept trying to get them to look at each other and talk to each other — I think I know what he was after.

It would be the ultimate debate. And it would be great TV.
