“Gasoline prices are falling! Gasoline prices are falling!”

It’s strange that you don’t hear anybody shouting that around town, because it’s true. According to Reuters, the cost of a gallon of gas has declined 80 cents since March.

And the cost of a barrel of oil is about $78, down from about $140 earlier this year. (That sound of weeping you hear is OPEC.)

Of course, nobody can get enough credit to buy a new car to put the gas in, but now you can afford to buy the gas.
