Retailers such as Ann Taylor, Sears and Talbots are expected to soon join the bankruptcy ranks that Sharper Image, Circuit City and others created in 2008, David Dickson is reporting.

A thousand years from now, archeologists sifting through the artifacts of our society will come across a cornerstone bearing an inscription that will describe our retail philosophy.  It will read:
