Cuban President Raul Castro is calling for more work and fewer handouts to deal with falling revenue in the midst of the global recession, Reuters is reporting.

Let me get this straight: Cuba is calling for fewer worker subsidies, while the U.S. is slowly nationalizing its hobbled industries.
