A private security company has been hired to provide 24-hour protection for Bernard Madoff, who is under house arrest in his $7 million apartment while awaiting court action on charges of bilking $50 billion from thousands of people and organizations, Bloomberg is reporting.
Hm, let’s take this nice and slow.

He also has a lot of cash at his discretion, a significant portion of which the feds cannot account for.
He’ been placed under house arrest in his $7 million Park Avenue apartment, and a private security company has been hired to provide 24-hour protection for him.
So, he’s a flight risk, people might want to harm him, his apartment isn’t safe and extra money is being spent to keep him safe there.
If only there were a place the feds could put him to ensure he didn’t run away and nobody would hurt him. A facility that is already in use so that no extra expenses would be incurred. A place that already has a lot of guards.
If only such a place existed.
