The vast majority of Americans believe the ongoing Benghazi affair and the unfolding scandal swirling around the Internal Revenue Service need to be investigated, according to a new Gallup poll out Friday.
Outstanding questions about what happened at the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and the Obama administration’s handling of the aftermath also must be answered, the poll says.
More than half of Americans say they strongly agree there needs to be further investigation. Another 17 percent say they simply agree, while just 21 percent disagree.
But while the poll shows a clear desire for more investigations, it also reveals that many Americans aren’t familiar with the details of either case.
