Outspoken Florida Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson has continued his harsh attacks on Republican challenger Dan Webster with a new TV ad comparing him to the Taliban.
Grayson, drawing on Webster’s almost three-decade career as a state politician, uses the ad to accuse his challenger of opposing women’s right issues and for voting against legislation to aid abused woman.

The ad comes a couple weeks after Grayson portrayed Webster as a Vietnam War draft dodger. Webster denied the accusation, saying that he got an educational deferment from the war and then failed a physical.
Grayson, who was elected to the House in 2008 from the Orlando area, is no stranger to controversy.
When debating a health care bill on the House floor in 2009 Grayson said that “the Republican health care plan is this: ‘Don’t get sick, and if you do get sick, die quickly.”
His remark was strongly rebuked by the GOP. Here’s Grayson’s “Taliban” ad:
