The Caps released their preseason schedule, and it doesn’t include games against the teams they have typically been facing in recent years. Gone are teams like New Jersey, Philadelphia and Carolina. In their places are home-and-homes with Chicago, Buffalo and the N.Y. Rangers.

And finally, a reminder: The full 2009-10 NHL schedule comes out on Wednesday afternoon.
