Because there are four Canadiens and two Penguins already on the roster, if the league is going to have all 15 teams represented then there are really only two open spots. With the West team there was only three after the starters were named and every team had a player, and two went to Sharks and one went to Detroit.
So who is going to get the two open spots in the East? From my calculations, the open spots are going to be at forward and goaltender, which doesn’t bode well for Mike Green. And picking Nicklas Backstrom over Marc Savard would be tough, so it looks like the Bruins could have three guys in the game while the Caps and Flyers will be stuck with one.
