Caps fans can take a long-awaited breath. Alex Ovechkin was on the ice for practice Thursday morning, sporting a red (first line) jersey and, at least immediately, showing no ill effects from whatever forced him out of Tuesday’s practice.

Alexander Semin was also in uniform, playing on the second line.
