I got an e-mail late last week about “Maryland Madness,” but figured it would get lost in the shuffle of the Maryland-Virginia football game.

So here’s the info, still relevant now as it was then.

* It’s Oct. 17 (a week from Friday), and doors to Comcast Center open at 6 p.m.

* Free tickets are available, first-come, first-served. Call 1-800-IM-A-TERP to reserve seats.

* As usual, there will be a women’s scrimmage and a men’s scrimmage. And, of course, Gary Williams‘ “annual dramatic entrance.”
