This was a week that taught me more than to not believe I could ever have Maryland pegged.

It also showed that it’s unwise to believe in Colorado. And that Vanderbilt is kinda sorta for real.

Of course, a few people already knew that. And loyal reader “The goggles do nothing!” did, and wound up as the weekly winner with 130 of a possible 136 points. So it’s his question this week for the mailbag.

For the season standings —- and the big bag o’ graft that comes with winning it all —- the Average Joe’s remain on top (five points clear of Lamont4Heisman and Terrapin Kim). Fifteen entrants are within 30 points of the lead, so a few crazy weeks could turn everything around.
