Just got into Byrd Stadium. I’m here, and so are all of the Terrapins —- so far as I can tell, anyway.
I’ll have more on the basketball scrimmage later on. The quick take: Dino Gregory looked like frontcourt’s best player, while Cliff Tucker looked smooth on the wing. Eric Hayes also had a good day.
SEE RELATED:Back to football. Wake Forest, fresh off its thumping at Maryland, just lost 16-10 to Miami. Boston College, despite an early 10-0 lead, is getting pummeled at North Carolina.
Those two teams, along with Florida State, entered the day tied atop the Atlantic Division standings with Maryland.
A Terrapins victory today makes things very interesting heading into the bye week —- and potentially even more intriguing if Florida State loses this afternoon.
That scenario would mean the outright leader in the Atlantic and a team even in the loss column in the Coastal would meet on the first Thursday in November down in Blacksburg.
That would be interesting indeed.
