Here’s the single biggest thing that was really learned about Georgetown from today’s 79-70 overtime defeat of Memphis.
At this stage, the Hoyas’ rotation barely reaches seven.
SEE RELATED:Outside of Georgetown’s five starters and top reserve Jason Clark, no one else was on the floor for the final 9:30 (4:30 of regulation plus overtime). Aside from the top six, the Hoyas’ other reserves played a combined 8:07 after halftime.
In the long run, it just isn’t sustainable to have a six-man rotation.
But it worked today, which is frankly pretty amazing given the posse of athletes Memphis can unleash.
