Nick Johnson is feeling well and happy to be back in the Nationals’ lineup today. But his last 48 hours weren’t very enjoyable.
The Washington first baseman said he started feeling really sick to his stomach driving home from Saturday night’s game. About 20 minutes from his house, he thought: “I don’t think I’m going to make it home.” Somehow he did make it, made a beeline for the bathroom and … well, I won’t go into any more detail than that.
SEE RELATED:Needless to say, Johnson didn’t feel well at all, and he still didn’t feel strong yesterday. So he was pulled from the lineup and went to the hospital to be examined. Doctors couldn’t find anything specific that caused his discomfort, so he rejoined the team for the train ride to New York and is back to normal today.
Here’s the rest of tonight’s lineups…
