Can you feel the buzz in the air here at Nationals Park? Is that growing excitement for this weekend’s Battle of the Beltways? Or is it just the hornet that’s trapped inside the press box? I can’t tell.

Regardless, this weekend is as close as the Nats have to a rivalry weekend. These games did draw well last season, with Friday night’s crowd around 35,000 and Saturday and Sunday’s crowds around 39,000.

Manny Acta called that Sunday game, in which the Nats won on Ronnie Belliard’s walk-off homer in the 12th, his favorite of the year. So maybe there’s some more dramatics in store for everyone.
