“I just want to express my deepest condolences to the family and the Dallas police department on this tragic loss,” she told the media.\ \ \ “This reminds us once again what the men and women in law enforcement do every single day,” Clinton said. “It is important that we respect and appreciate their service. I certainly am grateful for all they do for me and, more importantly, they do for the citizens of cities like Dallas and across the country.”\ \ \ Clinton also said she had placed a call of condolence to the department, and planned to call the family as soon as they were notified.\ \ \ An accident investigation unit was at the scene of the crash, and a number of police vehicles were still present over an hour later.
